Thank you to Allison Watters, Molly Blake, Jillian Tripp and Jeff and Maribeth Carson for working hard to let the teachers and staff know they are very well appreciated during this year's Teacher Appreciation Week.

This Friday is another round of Dutch Soccer camp in Blue Hill. If you would like your child to participate please download a form here and bring it to the office with a check made out to Dutch Soccer.  The PTF will cover half of the tuition.

June 2nd is the Brooklin School 5k Fun Run. It starts at the school at 12:30 and the kids run or walk down to WoodenBoat and back. We are looking for parents to help pass out water and cheer! If you have a few minutes please come by the school and bring some pom poms. Encouragement really helps them get up those hills!

After the fun run on Friday, June 2nd, we are going to be setting up for the Yard Sale that takes place in the gym on Saturday morning. We are looking for the community to drop off yard sale items after 3:00 on Friday.

On Saturday, June 3rd come and do some shopping at the yard sale and also play some tennis! The PTF is sponsoring a free tennis workshop for EVERYONE!  More details on this workshop are in the works. It will take place at the school on the 3rd from 9:30 to 11:30 with Bob Christie and Val Chamberlain.

On June 9th, PTF is having a Silent Auction and Dance at Central Hall.

This is our biggest fundraising event of the year. It is also super fun. The SoulBenders are playing upstairs and are not to be missed. Downstairs is a fantastic silent auction. Many parents, teachers and local businesses have donated their skills or items to be auctioned. You can take a look at some of the things we have so far here.

Would you like to help up set-up, break down, search for items or donate something? We need everyone's help for this.

If you are wondering where the PTF money goes last couple months of school are a great example:

  • The PTF provided great treats to teachers this week for Teacher's Appreciation Week.

  • Sponsored a clean-up day at the school

  • Provided some funding to the eighth graders who are off on their class trip to Boston this week

  • Provided funding for Kim Ridley and Rebekah Raye's whole school workshop last week

  • Provided funding for Katy Hellman who is here with students working on an art installation now.

  • Paying half tuition for Dutch soccer

  • Organizing and funding a school/community tennis clinic.

  • Funded a refillable snack pantry for after school clubs and sports at the school

  • Funded Pizza party for the students working on the yearbook.

  • Provided some funding for a mobile jewelry workshop to be used with our art teacher, Sarah Doremus

Phhhewww!  That is a lot of stuff and we have an amazing, supportive community and PTF to thank for that but we are ALWAYS looking for a hand so please get in touch.
