Sixth-Eighth Grades are learning "los verbos en -ar" and how to conjugate them in the present tense. By next week, they should be able to know the verb endings of hablar, comprar, mirar and pager. Here is an example of one verb partial conjugation:

                                       HABLAR=TO SPEAK
                                   (Yo) hablo= I speak, I am speaking, I do speak.
                                   (Tu) hablas=you speak, you are speaking , you do speak
                                   (El) habla=he speaks, he is speaking, he does speak
                               (Ella) habla=she speaks, she is speaking, she does speak

Students in 4-5 have started learning holiday vocabulary based on customs from Mexico. They will be playing a new " Lingo Bingo" game, La Navidad. A few of their new words are: las dulces, el arbol de Navidad and la flor de Buena Noche.

2-3 will begin making a Christmas piñata on Monday!

K-1 are now learning the days of the week. Here is the song they sing to help with memorization: "lunes, martes, miercoles tres, jueves, viernes, sabado seis y domingo siete es, y domingo siete es.
