6th, 7th and 8th grades - wrote papers on their thoughts and opinions of the film, la Cosecha. An 8th grader, Oliver, stated if he could ask one question to a migrant worker it would be "what gives you hope?".  Many students wrote very poignant remarks about the difficult lives of migrant laborers from Mexico and Central America.

4th and 5th students learned how to make Mexican tin "milagros" or miracles. The results were quite beautiful and very original!

In 2nd and 3rd grades, we read the book The Piñata Maker in preparation for creating our own piñata for the upcoming winter holidays.

K-1 practiced "Simon Dice" (Simon Says) and have become remarkably good at it! They also practiced reciting another poem called "Chiquita Bonita" or, "Pretty Little Girl". The first verses are: Soy Chiquita, Soy Bonita, Soy la Perla de Maman...

4/5 "milagros"
