Middle School Spanish students have been perfecting more verb conjugations and translating phrases. Several students are ready to begin learning the basics of forming the past tense. Ask your son/daughter to conjugate some verbs for you!! The drawings they created of the Altamira cave animals are all unique; they will be displayed in the corridor in the near future.

4/5 students have begun to translate English to Spanish and are doing a terrific job. We have begun to learn about "Amate" bark paintings from Mexico. The class will create their own Amate paintings starting next week.

2/3 graders have been listening to to fairy tales and folk tales in Spanish. They recently heard "El Flautista de Jamlin" (The Piper of Hamlin). New vocabulary included "el pueblo", "el bosque" and "allegre".

K/1 pupils started learning how to answer the following questions: "Que es la fecha de hoy? , Que es el dia? and Que hace el tiempo?" Translation: "What is the date?", "What is the day of the week?" and "What's the weather like?"
