This week we ended our month long National Writing Novel Month, NaNoWriMo, effort. It was the first time we had participated in it and the students performed remarkably well. In Grades 4 and 5 the students wrote 34,568 words in the month of November. In the Middle School, the students collectively wrote 224,154 words during the month of November. Congratulations to each and every student in Grades 4, 5 ,6, 7, and 8. Students wrote daily in class for 10 to 20 minutes at a time. However, many wrote a great deal on their own time at home on weekends and over the Thanksgiving break. This speaks to how committed these students were do write as much as they could. Superlative effort. Well done.
Thank you to all the parents, friends and community members who attended our Wax Museum today. It means so much to the students to have their parents and family share these activities with them and their classmates. So many toga's! It was very informative, and entertaining. Thank you to Mr. Moss for taking this on and to all the students who participated. Great job.
