Wild Weather and Valentine's Day Update

posted Feb 10, 2017, 11:09 AM by Julie Wilson
Wow! Well, the groundhog definitely saw its shadow on the 2nd and since then we have certainly had some wintery weather! After yesterday's snow day, it felt so disappointing to not get to play outside, but with the windchill at -7 we did not venture out into our wintery wonderland.

To celebrate Valentine's Day on Tuesday, we are inviting Pre-K students to wear their  pajamas to school for a pajama party! We will make heart shaped pancakes and enjoy strawberry smoothies. Children have been making valentines for their classmates, but if your child would like to make cards at home we have 12 students. PLEASE: NO CANDY Valentine's.  (Yes, I know it's Valentine's Day, but our school is a nut free school, and many candies contain traces of nuts- which creates a hazard for students with nut allergies.) If you are so inclined as to donate something delicious for our party- please consider: strawberries, blue berries, raspberries, cream cheese or jam.
