Math Update

We started this week with an engaging problem-solving activity, "How Many Tickets?". We then extended this problem from problem-solving to two-system equations. It was great to see the problem from a different angle. On Tuesday, we took part in the Bebras Challenge. It was indeed challenging, pushing students to think in ways different from everyday thinking. This is the type of thinking that is used in computer-related fields, such as programming. Later in November, we will receive the results and share these with the students.  Our work with scientific notation is wrapping up, as students learned how to divide two numbers written in scientific notation.
