Math Update

We started this week with an engaging problem-solving activity, "How Many Tickets?". On Tuesday, we took part in the Bebras Challenge. It was indeed challenging, pushing students to think in ways different from everyday thinking. This is the type of thinking that is used in computer-related fields, such as programming. Later in November, we will receive the results and share these with the students. 
6th grade students wrapped up their work with proportions, while 7th grade students began exploring the applications of proportions and percentages. 6th grade students are deepening their understanding of fractions, using manipulatives.
