Dressing for recess

posted Dec 7, 2016, 11:57 AM by Amy Bebell
Please make sure that your children are dressed appropriately for outside play every day this winter. Kids need to wear a hat, gloves or mittens that will keep hands dry, and coat each day. When there is snow, they must also wear snowpants and winter boots. Children should have a pair of shoes to wear inside; they should not wear their snow boots all day. This is uncomfortable and messy! If a child is unprepared for recess, they can not count on teachers to have extra hats and mittens to borrow. For their safety and comfort, K-5 students that are not dressed for the weather will have to miss recess. If you need help finding any of these items, please let us know so that we can work together to be sure everyone is comfortable this winter.
